Understand Key AI Concepts and Technologies
Discuss AI concepts, understand AI interaction commands.Understanding responsible AI use. How to validate AI-generated information. Managing bias, misinformation and “AI hallucination.”
Academic Writing
Conducting literature reviews with tools like Scispace, Consensus, ScholarGPT and many others. Checking grammar and spelling, dealing with plagiarism. Referencing all sources accurately using endnote and Mendeley.
Using AI for Study Success
To equip students with the ability to use Artificial Intelligence as a learning companion that helps them understand, question and apply knowledge from different sources including class notes, library resources, internet materials, peer discussions, and lecturer consultations.

Overview:
For only R1,500 per semester, students receive hands-on support throughout the term, combined with practical AI training that immediately enhances how they learn, study and understand subject concepts.
Through the programme:
Students receive a one-month structured training on using AI effectively in their studies.
Students benefit from ongoing guidance and mentorship until the end of the semester.
Students learn how to use AI to develop deeper understanding of concepts across their academic modules.
- Students receive a certificate on AI literacy skills.
In addition, students develop the ability to make sound judgements when interacting with AI. This is an increasingly important skill, as employers in future careers will require graduates who can use AI confidently and responsibly, apply critical judgement and make informed decisions rather than simply rely on automated outputs.
